Chrome extension

Copy any web table into Excel or Google Sheets. Columns stay columns.

One click lists every table on the page. Copy puts it on the clipboard for pasting into a spreadsheet; CSV saves it as a file. No account, no cloud, nothing leaves your browser.

How it works

  1. Open any page with a table and click the Table Export icon.
  2. The popup lists the tables with their size and first row, so you pick the right one.
  3. Copy → paste into Google Sheets, Excel, Numbers or LibreOffice. CSV → a UTF-8 file that opens anywhere.

What it handles

Merged cells

rowspan and colspan are expanded so every row has the same columns and nothing shifts.

Headers and footers

thead, tbody and tfoot in document order; hidden rows are skipped; nested tables flatten into text.

Clean CSV

RFC 4180 quoting, UTF-8 with BOM so Excel shows accents and CJK correctly, formula-injection guard.

Private by design

Reads the current tab only when clicked. No host permissions, no analytics inside the extension.

FAQ

How do I copy a table from a website into Excel or Google Sheets?

Open the page, click the Table Export icon, find the table in the list and click Copy. Then paste into a sheet (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V). Columns and rows land in separate cells; nothing is merged or shifted. CSV saves the same table as a file instead.

What is free and what is Pro?

Free copies or saves any table, of any size, on any site, with no account. Pro adds "Save all tables on this page", Markdown copy and future updates. Pro is a one-time $9 license key; there is no subscription and nothing renews.

Does it work on every table?

It works on HTML tables (the <table> element), which covers Wikipedia, most statistics and government sites, admin panels, intranet reports and documentation. Grids drawn with <div> elements (some spreadsheet-like web apps) are not detected in this version.

What does the extension read or send?

It reads the current tab only when you click the icon, converts the tables inside your browser and keeps nothing. No page content, URL or browsing activity is sent anywhere. Activating a Pro key sends the key and a random install id to our server, nothing else.

Which permissions does it ask for and why?

activeTab and scripting: read the tables of the tab you clicked on. clipboardWrite: put the table on your clipboard. storage: remember your license. It does not ask for access to all websites.
